Kundmala is located along the banks of the Indrayani River in Talegaon, Pune, just 1 km from Begadewadi railway station, where local trains stop. The area is lined with several snack shops on both sides of the riverbank. At the site, you’ll find a waterfall, potholes, and a temple. It’s a great spot for a short half-day trip or picnic with friends and family. Highly recommended for a visit!

Nighoj Potholes are renowned for the naturally formed potholes on the Kukadi Riverbed in Nighoj Village, Ahmednagar district. This geological marvel is located about 85 kilometers from Pune and 220 kilometers from Mumbai. These uniquely shaped potholes are among the largest in Asia. It’s an intriguing spot to visit at least twice—once during winter and again during the monsoon—to experience the natural beauty both when the water levels are low and when water flows over the potholes. It takes approximately 90 minutes to reach from Pune. The site also features the Malabai Devi Temple, and the area is known as Malabai Kund. There are no hotels nearby, but the area is wheelchair accessible, and there is ample free parking available.

The village of Machal is a newfound hill station in the highlands of Ratnagiri district. Muchkundi river originates from Machal village. In its course, the same river joins other rivers coming from the Sahyadri below at Khorninko, forming several gorges and waterfalls.
The seven waterfalls and ten potholes in the Muchkundi river are a visual treat for trekking enthusiasts. Surrounded by dense vegetation, the approach road that has to be cut through rugged cliffs.  swimming through the ridges is thrilling is an unforgettable experience for die-hard mountaineers and a perfect destination for adventurous tourists.
