pet friendly dog parks in Pune

In Pune, the lack of dedicated spaces for dogs has forced many pet parents to walk their canine companions on streets and sidewalks, often resulting in unsanitary conditions and causing inconvenience to others. Dog lovers have long demanded outdoor spaces where their pets can run, play, and socialise freely. Responding to this need, several pet-friendly parks have been established in the city, providing a much-needed solution for both dogs and their owners. These parks not only offer safe, designated areas for pets to exercise but also foster a community where pets and their owners can connect in a cleaner, more organized environment.

A new state-of-the-art dog park has been established by the veterinary department of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) at Govind Chowk in Pimple Saudagar. Spanning 30 gunthas, the park offers pet parents a place to take their dogs for walks, exercise, and other activities. It is a clean and well-maintained space where dogs can run off-leash and play with other pets. Visitors must follow the rules and clean up after their dogs, so bringing a poop picker or newspaper along with water containers is advised. The park is designed as a sanctuary where dogs can roam freely in a safe environment, with separate areas for large and small dogs, as well as a section for aggressive dogs to ensure safe play. However, certain areas require dogs to be kept on a leash.
